Running

If there's anything I love about Berkeley, it'd be the endless scenic running routes.

People have been worrying for me because I go home so often. But really, it's not because I don't enjoy where I am. Berkeley has been good. I like it a lot, and I'm finding more reasons to like it everyday. It's not everywhere that I could run from the water to the mountains in one afternoon. From pizzeria to cafe to bakery, from cute boutiques to floral shops. It's a lot like the East Coast (in my imagination since I've never been), but with gorgeous weather.

How wonderful everything worked out. How wonderful that I stumbled upon the sport of running 6 years ago. How much I didn't enjoy it back then, how confused about everything I was back then. What is high school? What is cross country? What does it mean to be in America? Who are friends? How? Why am I here? Why is everything happening?

But God knew that I was going to need it. He knows running is the way that I am going to enjoy Him the most. And He sovereignly allowed everything to happen, to fall perfectly in its place.

Looking back now, I could give some answers to why things happened in my life, I could see traces of God's work in them. That is a good assurance and humbling reminders that my Heavenly Father knows best. I might know a little bit more now, I might be able to analyze my life thus far, but my knowledge is always so insufficient comparing to the mastermind behind all things.

"The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."

-Isaian 58:11
